We Stitch These Wounds is their debut album. Originally called "Alive & Burning".
Sandra Alvarenga left the band in 2010 and joined Modern Day Escape.
In The Outcasts (Call To Arms), the person who talks is Andy's grandfather (Urban), and the Perfect Weapon video starts with this track.
They re-recorded three songs for this album: We Stitch These Wounds, Knives And Pens and The Mortician's Daughter, and they were already released in their previous EP "Sex & Hollywood".
The songs All Your Hate, Sweet Blasphemy and Beautiful Remains were written by David Burton, ex guitarist, but they had different names. All Your Hate was originally Alive & Burning, Sweet Blasphemy was Kings Without Crowns and Beautiful Remains was called Funeral In Flames.
The Knives and Pens video was released on june 17, 2009.
In the video you can see Andy, Chris and Sandra play the song, wearing white clothes. In a second take, they're wearing black clothes, and in the third one, fashion clothes. The adolescent in the video is being bullied and he's called emo, fag... He writes poems alone in his room. And in the end, you can see the band playing covered in blood.
The Perfect Weapon video was released on june 14, 2010 and the single came out on july 8.
It shows the members of the band putting the make up on, getting dressed, then you can see Andy smoking. The guys see themselves in a mirror, and there's a skeleton of a virgin, that's when the song starts. And near the end, there's a bunch of kids and adolescents behind them while they're playing, screaming "Black Veil Brides!", while Andy kneels and prays.
Knives And Pens was recorded in 2008 by: Andy Biersack, Chris Bluser and Sandra Alvarenga. It was released in the Never Give In Edition of the Sex & Hollywood EP.
The song was re-recorded for the We Stitch These Wounds album, in early 2010 by: Andy Biersack, Ashley Purdy, Jake Pitts, Jinxx and Sandra Alvarenga.
There are a lot of critics saying that Andy's voice is monotone, only being able to sing in one octave.
It also has been criticized the song Knives And Pens, saying that it's a copy of Unholy Confessions, by Avenged Sevenfold.
It reached #36 of the Chart Billboard 200 and UK Rock, #10 in US Rock Albums, #3 in US Hard Rock Albums and #1 in Independent Release.
This album sold, in its first week, 11.000 copies.
